Election Schedule — 2026–28

In compliance with the Trade Organizations Act, 2013, Rule 14, and Article 49 of the JCSTSI Memorandum and Articles of Association, the President and the Executive Committee have approved the Election Schedule for the year 2026–28, dated 13th July, 2026.

Voter Roll & Objections

The Secretary General shall display the Election schedule on the notice board of JCSTSI and on the website, and submit a copy to the REGULATOR.

Any change regarding the name of a representative appearing in the list of provisional voters shall be sent to the Secretary General, along with necessary proof of eligibility.

The Secretary General shall display the provisional list of all members eligible to vote, along with their national tax registration number (if applicable) and the name and CNIC number of their representative — at the notice board and on the Chamber website.

Any person eligible to contest for the vacant post of member, Executive Committee, shall send a nomination paper — duly proposed and seconded by a registered voter and signed by the candidate — to the Secretary General on the prescribed form, in accordance with the Articles of Association and Chamber rules. Woman entrepreneurs contesting for reserved seats shall submit their nomination papers in the same manner.

Explanation

  1. This Election Schedule for 2026–28 is prepared in conformity with the Trade Organizations Act, 2013 and rules made thereunder, and the JCSTSI Memorandum and Articles of Association.
  2. For the purpose of this schedule, "day" means the working hours of the Chamber on that day, unless otherwise stated.
  3. If any act scheduled under this Election Schedule falls on a holiday, that act shall be performed on the next working day following the holiday(s).

Polling Hours & Guidelines

Polling hours will be from 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M, with a break for lunch and prayer from 01:00 P.M to 02:00 P.M (time may be extended at the discretion of the Election Commission). Members must abide by the COVID-19 SOPs laid down by the Government of Pakistan.
